Angelo Garepe was a member of the Lupertazzi crime family.
Biography[]
Garepe was Consigliere to Carmine Lupertazzi since the 1960s. He was arrested in the 1990s for a construction project in Yonkers, and befriended Tony Blundetto while in jail, one of the "Class of 2004" that were "graduated" from prison that year. When Carmine Lupertazzi died, he supported Little Carmine and Rusty Millio, although he claimed to be retired, and he recruited Blundetto to kill Joey Peeps, a crew member of Phil Leotardo.
Death[]
Garepe left a Costco at night, with an employee loading a Peg Perego toy car in his trunk. He paid the employee for helping him out and drove away, escorted by another car driven by Phil Leotardo and Billy Leotardo. When the Leotardos' car stopped, he hit their rear, and after both drivers left, Billy garroted him, and they threw him in the trunk, where they beat him. He was shot twice in the head after Billy put a plastic tarp over his body, and was later hidden away. His death caused Tony Blundetto's murder of Billy, leading to Tony's murder by Tony Soprano, his own cousin.
