Raymond "Ray" Boccino

The Boccino Crew is a group operating within the Pegorino crime family. It was once led by powerful Capo Raymond "Ray" Boccino, captain from 2003 to 2008, when he was killed by Nikolaj "Niko" Bellic, a former associate of the family. It is currently run by Aldo Santa Croce.

History[]

Raymond "Ray" Boccino's crew operated in a variety of locations, centered at Drusilla's Restaurant in Little Italy, having diamond deals in Brooklyn but Boccino also operated from the Pegorino Compound in Weehawken, New Jersey, across the Hudson River. Boccino was known to be selfish, arrogant, and strictly a businessman, with a cold heart. He was involved in the drug trade with The Lost MC, who were occasionally his enemies as well; he sold them grenade launchers and relied on Jonathan "Johnny K" Klebitz to oversee a diamonds deal with the Jewish Jewlers at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts, but The Lost MC stole the diamonds from the deal, and even before then, attacked and massacred several of Boccino's enforcers in their convoys or in their hiding places.

Boccino was killed on the orders of his boss, James "Jimmy The Peg" Pegorino, who sent Bellic to terminate him, as he was paranoid; the family was under heavy NYPD and FBI surveillance, so he thought that Boccino was an informant. Boccino was killed at an auto repair shop with some of his crew, and the organization was taken over by Aldo Santa Croce.
