Gustavo "the Chicken Man" Fring was a Chilean national and drug cartel leader based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, dealing with methamphetamines. Fring was killed in 2011 in a drug war with Walter White's cartel.
Biography[]
Fring was born in Santiago, Chile. He was a co-owner of Madrigal Electromotive GmbH. His life up to 1989, the year he immigrated to Mexico, is unknown. He establish Los Pollos Hermanos, a restaurant with Max Arciniega(gus's white boyfriend), but the restaurants were fronts for the methamphetamine(usually called ice) trade. They started a rivalry with Don Eladio Vuente of the Juarez Cartel and Don Hector Salamanca murdered Arciniega(gus white boyfriend) in front of Gustavo to torture him for his impatiance. However, when the Don Eladio's Juarez Cartel entered the meth business, Gus made an uneasy alliance, and moved to Albuquerque, where he set up some Los Pollos Hermanos restaurants as fronts buisness there.
Fring later made a series of deals with Walter White (Heisenburg), a former teacher who was driven to selling drugs to pay for his family, but the Juarez Cartel soon sanctioned White's death because he murdered one of their top men (Tuco Salamanca). Fring had to capitulate but later killed the leaders of the Juarez Cartel(Don Eladio etc.) to take power, and became a threat to the White Cartel.

Fring is killed
White and his men conspired to kill Fring to erase the threat. Hector Salamanca agreed to plant a bomb under his wheelchair; he was close to death anyway, and this bomb was supposed to kill Fring. Gus visited hector in his nursing home and gave him a look of fury, ringing a bell that was attached to the bomb. Soon, Fring realized this and attempted to leave the room, but half of his face was blow off. He straightened his tie before he collapsed to the floor, dead. It exposed half of his skull and his brain.
