The Mei Hua Bang was founded in 1998, but its origins dated back to 1945, when three Chinese-American women founded their own Kung-Fu group. They soon became an organized crime family, and they relocated from Los Angeles to New York City. The Mei Hua Bang hired male employees, who robbed people and murdered other mobsters. The gang held Downtown Queens for their own by 2000, but in 2005, the police cracked down on organized crime, and leader Bei Xia was arrested for racketeering, murder, bank robbery, armed assault, attempted murder, and many other crimes. The gang dissolved soon after.
