Miami War

The Miami War was a collection of mob wars between the Corleone-Trapani organization and the Granados crime family, Tony Rosato's Gang, Mangano crime family, and Almeida crime family that were fought from March 1959 to early 1960. Hyman Roth organized an alliance against Michael Corleone while pretending to aid the Corleones, but after the Kane Hearings ended in early 1960 the Corleones gathered their total strength and eliminated the rival families and killed Roth at the Miami International Airport. Although it was called the Miami War, it was actually fought in New York and Havana, in addition to parts of Miami.
