Mike Salvani was a Caporegime in the Pavano crime family who ran bookie rings in New Jersey for the family during 2008. Salvani was murdered by the Pegorino crime family, rivals of the Pavanos.
Biography[]
Salvani became an associate of the family when he was young, and by the 2000s, had become a senior Caporegime in the Pavano crime family, running the bookeeping operations on the New Jersey Waterfront, along with some chop shops. Salvani was the leader of a crew of seven made men with 25 enforcers, and he hung out at Auto Eroticar, a car dealership/diner.
In 2008, Salvani attempted to murder Jimmy Pegorino, leader of the rival Pegorino Family that controlled all of New Jersey's waterfront area. He sent Soldato Charles Baroni to a meet with Pegorino, but Baroni was killed alongside the rest of the Pavano hitmen, although they managed to wound Don Jimmy. Shortly afterwards, Pegorino got his revenge, sending Nikolai Bellic to wipe out Salvani's crew.
Salvani was driving around Jersey City, collecting money from his bookie rings around town, but noticed who Bellic was, and tried to lose him on his way to the meet, but Bellic caught up to Salvani's white-painted sports car and arrived at Auto Eroticar, killing Salvani and his men.
