The Siegel crime family, also known as the Siegel crime syndicate and the Siegel gang, is a Jewish-American crime syndicate that mostly operates in Brooklyn, Atlantic City, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The family was founded by Jewish mobster Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel in 1935. Siegel originally headed a bootlegging and extortion gang before the family, called the Bugs and Meyer Mob.
Its allied with with the Corleone, Gambetti, Luciano, Gambino and Chicago crime families and the Michaels gang. It was allied with the Petrosino and Aaronson gangs before their demise.
