The U-Gin Shotgun Bar is a cocktail bar that is located in Downtown Miami, which was bought as a front by Tony Montana in 1983. He did a favor for the owner Ana Yamada, whose boyfriend was having sex with her waitresses, by sending his female hired assassin to head to a vantage point on a small platform in the bay, where she would snipe the boyfriend, who was on a boat, at nighttime. When the hit succeeded, the woman bowed to Tony, who bought her business for $80,000, distributing cocaine to the front to get it out on the streets away from the racket.
